We’re living in a time of major, worldwide breakthroughs when it comes to understanding how we age and also the steps we can take to not only slow down aging, but even reverse it a bit. A reader suggested she was tired of the term ‘anti-aging’. She wasn’t against ‘aging’, and in fact, rather enjoyed […]

Safe natural therapy to heal illness and improve well-being
Our Functional Medicine providers offer patient-centered care that seeks to address root-cause issues in our health presentation. We focus on the whole person and include concepts such as nutrition, stress, toxins, allergens, genetics, and the microbiome in our assessments. Our treatment plans are innovative, extensive and well-rounded, and often driven by your body's personal chemistry and data.
We co-treat with our Integrative Primary Care and Alternative providers when indicated, but our primary "tools" for patients include Food Therapy ("Food is Medicine"), oral nutraceuticals and nutrient infusion therapy, and guidance on lifestyle, physical activity, and optimizing your environment.
Functional Medicine providers typically focus on complex or chronic cases. Common diagnosis treated or identified include:
- Tickborne Infections
- Chronic Reactivated Epstein Barr Virus
- Mold toxicity
- Adrenal disorders
- Autoimmunity
- Digestive Disorders (IBS, SIBO, Candida, Food Sensitivites)
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Environmental Toxicities
- Women's disorders (PMS, Perimenopause, PCOS, thyroid issues)
- Metabolic Sydromes
- ... and attempts to answer the question of why?

If you’ve been to one of our centers, I’m sure you’ve seen the large leather recliner chairs, often containing a patient, busy on their smartphone, tablet or reading a book while on the receiving end of an intravenous drip. Over the next few Health Tips, I’ll be talking about what these infusions are used for […]
Over the years of writing Health Tips, I was surprised to discover that one I’d written a few years ago about Vitamin B 12 Deficiency had received the most comments and questions from readers. Let’s start with two thyroid facts: The diagnosis of hypothyroidism (low levels of thyroid hormone) is missed by most physicians. Patients arrive with obvious symptoms of hypothyroidism every doctor learned in medical school: sensitivity to cold, hair loss, weight gain, dry skin, fatigue, constipation, depression, irregular periods, and infertility.
