“Exhaustion is my reality. At four o’clock, I’m wiped, totally wiped.” Patricia is forty-three, happily married as far as marriages go, one kid, steadily employed in the usual American less-than-satisfying corporate job, good eating habits, and, until recently, health club a few times a week. Safe natural therapy to heal illness and improve well-being
Our Functional Medicine providers offer patient-centered care that seeks to address root-cause issues in our health presentation. We focus on the whole person and include concepts such as nutrition, stress, toxins, allergens, genetics, and the microbiome in our assessments. Our treatment plans are innovative, extensive and well-rounded, and often driven by your body's personal chemistry and data.
We co-treat with our Integrative Primary Care and Alternative providers when indicated, but our primary "tools" for patients include Food Therapy ("Food is Medicine"), oral nutraceuticals and nutrient infusion therapy, and guidance on lifestyle, physical activity, and optimizing your environment.
Functional Medicine providers typically focus on complex or chronic cases. Common diagnosis treated or identified include:
- Tickborne Infections
- Chronic Reactivated Epstein Barr Virus
- Mold toxicity
- Adrenal disorders
- Autoimmunity
- Digestive Disorders (IBS, SIBO, Candida, Food Sensitivites)
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Environmental Toxicities
- Women's disorders (PMS, Perimenopause, PCOS, thyroid issues)
- Metabolic Sydromes
- ... and attempts to answer the question of why?

Phyllis B. was a long time patient of mine, whose medical problems, generally […]
Many a time, either in person or via phone, someone will say a variation of the following, “Look, I’m taking all these vitamins and minerals but I really don’t know what I’m doing. I think I’m eating right but I might have some vitamin or mineral deficiencies that I know nothing about. I really don’t […]
Here’s a diagnosis that doctors only started thinking about as recently as the 1980’s and now, decades later, although there are now plenty of gluten free items available both in grocery stores and on restaurant menus, doctors are still arguing about its existence.
