In fact, when you think about it, maybe you never had much of a sex drive at all, no matter which of your decades you happen to be in now. Straight or gay, maybe Read More

Male Menopause: Is It Real?

Short answer: Yes, but don’t hope for any quick fixes—that’s pharmaceutical industry-think. Another way to view male menopause: Sure, a ball will bounce, just not as high over time. I get asked about male menopause all the time, almost always by women (who, admittedly, represent the majority of my patients) and only rarely by my male patients who, for the most part, don’t seem to Read More

Menopause and Acupuncture: Great News For Women

Some women sail through menopause like they’re traversing the calm waters of Walden Pond. You know who you are. A topic they often despaired over was Read More

  • Dying In A Leadership Vacuum: The NEJM Editorial in Context

By now, you’ve probably read that the editors of the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) published an editorial entitled “Dying In A Leadership Vacuum” that asks Americans to work together to vote out Donald Trump because of his dreadful mismanagement of Covid-19 and the subsequent deaths of more than 220,000 Americans. To call the editorial scathing would be putting it mildly. If you don’t Read More
