Lead is always toxic in the human body. There are no “safe” levels of lead. An atom of lead enters your body, usually though your lungs or skin, then quickly displaces another atom you really need, like zinc for your immune system, or iron to build blood, or calcium for bones, or dozens of metabolic […]

Frequently Asked Questions
Infusion therapy is when medication or fluids are administered through a needle or catheter. It is a way of delivering vitamins and nutrients or medication that can’t be taken orally, or that need to be dispensed at a controlled pace.
Intravenous infusion therapy allows our meticulously curated blends to bypass the unstable environment of your gut, and the unpredictable nature of digestion, for delivery to the bloodstream. This allows your organs and tissues, that most need these nutrients, to get them without delay.
Basic infusion therapy can be used for a variety of purposes including skin health, stress relief, and providing a boost of well-being. IV vitamin treatment allows for efficiency by allowing your body to absorb higher levels of these vitamins and minerals than if you ingested them from supplements or food. When there is an increase in nutrients in the bloodstream, this allows for higher uptake into cells that then allows the body to fight illness and be healthy.
IV vitamin therapy can be used in a multitude of ways. Some of the most common treatments include:
- Chronic fatigue and brain fog
- Detoxification
- Anti-Aging
- Energy
- Improved immunity
- Brain enhancement
- Athletic performance
- Weight loss
Side effects are usually non-existent or very mild. They may include:
- Temporary discomfort from placing the IV catheter
- Minor discomfort, bruising, redness, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection
True allergic reactions are exceptionally rare. However, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, visit your nearest emergency department.
It is recommended that you have a light meal or snack before your infusion. You can carry on your normal day after treatment.
Infusions generally last 30 minutes to an hour. Some therapies do take longer, NAD+ for example, can last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on the dosage.
During your treatment you will be able to do as you please with your hands free. So, relax, read a book, do your work, listen to music or just enjoy the quiet. You are welcome to bring a tablet, laptop, headphones, etc., and our guest WIFI is always available to you.
Vitamin infusion therapy is not currently covered by insurance carriers. All infusions, besides hydration, are self-pay and due at the time of service. However, we do accept Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
WholeHealth Supplement and Infusion Therapy Subscriptions
To improve treatment compliance, patient convenience and affordability we’ve created WholeHealth Plans.
Go to www.vitogenix.com to learn how to save money on your infusion therapy.
Please call us at (773)296-6700 to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Out of respect to other patients, our staff, and our supplies, please allow at least 24 hours notice of cancellation. A $75 fee will be charged if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment; a $100 fee will be charged if you do not notify us of cancellation.
Before your IV we will send you a questionnaire to understand your current health, and to help you decide which IV therapy may be best for you. There are some conditions that may require a consultation with a provider before you can receive your treatment. A WholeHealth Chicago team member will reach out to you once your questionnaire has been reviewed.
We do recommend that a G6PD lab test is performed before receiving Ozone treatment, and this test is required before getting any high dose (more than 10mg) vitamin C therapy.
Health Tips
Look, I know there’s a good chance you may be addicted to sugar. Lots of us are. Human taste buds are far more sensitive to sweet tastes than they are to the subtleties of superstar chefs. Food manufacturers today throw sugar into everything, from chili to coleslaw, and the total amount of sugar we eat […]
A diagnosis of anxiety covers a lot of territory. Psychologists organize patients suffering symptoms of anxiety into groups that include: generalized anxiety disorder (with or without panic attacks), obsessive-compulsive disorders, social anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and the various phobias (heights, snakes, germs, etc.). However, the symptoms are all pretty much the same. According to […]
OK, OK, so it took 20 years, but it will be worth the wait. WholeHealth Chicago’s new location is in the Beverly neighborhood, at 3237 W, 111th Street. The location is actually in Mount Greenwood, but no one except those who live there knows where Mount Greenwood is. (There is also to my knowledge no […]
Most often, even before patients realize they’ve developed multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), its very first manifestation is fatigue, the sense of feeling deeply tired all the time. MCS is yet another condition I learned nothing about during my internal medicine residency, and when I asked the then-chief of allergy at Northwestern about it, he dismissed […]
Mold-related illness was first described almost 50 years ago when it was labeled sick building syndrome. It was met with incredible hostility from the medical profession (because there were no positive test results to verify any diagnosis) and from employers and building owners (who thought affected people were seeking financial gain or special favors). What […]
