Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is personalized medicine that focuses on the underlying causes and prevention of serious chronic disease rather than disease symptoms. It is a science-based field of health care grounded in the principles of biochemical individuality, patient-centered care, the dynamic balance between internal and external factors, the web-like interconnections of physiological factors, and the promotion of organ reserve.

Our Services

At WholeHealth Chicago we provide our patients with access to providers who use an integrative medicine/functional medicine model. Functional medicine is a real paradigm shift in the practice of health care. Instead of the traditional disease-centered focus of conventional medicine, functional medicine practitioners apply a patient-centered approach that addresses the whole person–not simply isolated symptoms.

Our Practitioners

We have assembled a outstanding group of practitioners at WholeHealth Chicago, men and women who are leaders in their fields of expertise. Each practitioner has many years of experience and is dedicated to the integrative healthcare model at our center.

Weekly classes are held on Saturdays at 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM at WholeHealth Chicago.  Classes are $20 each; only $10 for your first class, and $15 when you refer a friend who joins you. Individual private sessions are also available. To register for a class or for more information, contact the center at 773-296-6700.

Me? I wouldn’t buy a toothpick …Read More »
