In the spirit of the holiday, consider starting a gratitude journal. Use a pretty notebook or a plain one–it doesn’t matter.

Title the first page something meaningful, such as “Good Things That Happened Today” or “What I’m Thankful For Today.”

Each day, add something, no matter how small, for which you feel a sense of gratitude. Maybe a smile from a friend or a stranger, your daughter’s recent achievement, the unconditional love your dog showed you, or a beautiful stack of apples at the market.

Recording moments like this in your journal will start you on the path to seeing the beautiful, the graceful, and the profound in your daily life.

Happy Thanksgiving, every day.
